Auto Schedule Settings Pop-Up

You use this pop-up to set and change settings related to auto scheduling.

Access this pop-up by clicking at the bottom of the Schedule page.

Use these options to auto schedule tasks. This does change the length of the task. For example, if you allocated a month for a task that only takes ten hours, the task is now allocated ten working hours, which is roughly a day and a half.

Method
  • Constraint — If you have set dependencies (constraints), Job Schedule schedules by observing the dependencies as best it can. If all dependencies cannot be respected, you see a message.

Dependencies can be circular or have other limitations, meaning that they cannot be resolved.

  • Waterfall — This ignores dependencies (constraints) and schedules one task to start after another. This is useful for jobs where no dependencies are set.
